Well okay not me per say, but my blog sure does feel pretty!!!! Doesn't it look nice? Loretta Loretta's Blog was nice enough to do it for me. Her rates are great $30, and I feel like a new woman. Well a new blogging woman that is....lol.
So Jeremy had his first night of Hockey last night. Oh what good Canadians we are our kid plays hockey, Bill plays hockey. Actually now that I come to think of it there's not a man in my family that at some point hasn't played hockey, and all us kids know how to skate. I did figure skating for years. Okay I'm off topic here. Jeremy's skating isn't as strong as it could be so he was the weakest skater out there last night, but omg did he try his little heart out. By the end he was almost getting some speed going....lol. So Jeremy and I are going to be getting some practice skating in. I promised him that as his skating gets better so will his Hockey. I have to hand it to the little bugger he spent more time on his behind than standing/skating it seems yet he didn't give up, he didn't try to get off the ice, and when we asked him if he had fun he said YES. Okay do you want to come next week, and he's like YES. Mom we just need to practice my skating. Okay kiddo is your bum sore. Yeah a little. There's this one I can only call him a brat that has been sorta picking on Jeremy. He slapped Jeremy across the face in the Summer at one of the Day Camps so brat isn't a to strong of a word for him. I got the school involved as this Brayden was making school miserable for Jeremy where he just wouldn't want to go. We I think Brayden has just given up, and they just don't talk now which is fine by me. Well this little brat is at hockey last night. I guess he was taunting Jeremy. 'Jeremy is so slow he can't even score a goal.' Poor kiddo. So I was trying to come up with something Jeremy could say back that wouldn't be totally mean. The best I could come up with was just tell him not to talk to you. If it continues I'll have to talk to Brayden's Dad, but right now I'm going to just wait and see what happens. I WANT to tell Jeremy well just call him a cry baby as Brayden cries in class a lot I guess if he doesn't understand the work being done. But I'm an adult, and two wrongs don't make a right.....dang maturity anyways...lol.

Zero to Ten and I'm Stressed
Well Jeremy came home yesterday with a bunch of homework yesterday. To me it seemed like a lot. He had 5 spelling words to review for a quiz Friday. Those we got. His reading to practice which we did. Plus he has a quiz Wednesday where he has to be able to spell zero to ten. So that we started to go over, and I can get him to spell zero to three. Printed out he can recognize them. There there is the October homework starting on the sight words. That I didn't even look at yet. So I wonder why the Teacher only gives like two days notice for the number test. Jeremy has to be able to read them, write them, and make up groups five of this, or four of that. The only part I think he'll have a difficult time with will be the spelling of the numbers. I guess I just need to not totally stress out about it, and do what I can. I still have today, and tomorrow morning to get as much as I can into his brain. I just don't know sometimes I'm like wondering what the heck am I doing floundering around trying to help this little boy understand and get things. Last year I didn't care for Jeremy's teachers, but I felt they were always there for me ready to talk with me any time about anything. This year I like Jeremy's teacher, but she seems much less ready, willing and able to just go over things. Now this may be, because the couple times I went to talk to her I may have interrupted what she was doing. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. A good thing they seem to have a Teaching Assistant in the classroom now. I'm very pleased with that. She's not there strictly for Jeremy, but she's an extra body to help out.

Writers Block Can't Stand It
I don't have a clue what to bore you guys with today. Bill got called out on a job for yesterday, and there's a good chance he won't be home today. I spent last night stitching, and playing with the Satellite Dish that they finally got working. Honestly other than watching 'We Are Marshall' (which imho I found to be just an average movie) I didn't find anything that exciting about Bell ExpressVu. Not to mention I still haven't found the channel TBS grrrrr. Got groceries, did laundry yesterday and the brat from down the street was over yesterday. Yeah he's only five, but I don't care he's a little brat. At least at my place I have some sort of control over what is going on. This kid will hear me say 'no' about something, and then he'll start whispering to Jeremy 'ok go ask your mom again, but ask like this.' Now I just call him on it hey no need to whisper I can hear you, and the answer is still no. Now I thought Jeremy doesn't listen, but this kid could give no listening classes. I've had it if he doesn't listen he's going home end of story. The sad part is I can't even count on his Mom. Both our husbands are in the same industry, and work out of town a lot. One day Jeremy was over playing, and I phoned to see if he was there she said they had gone to the Park. I said ok no problem when they get back please just send Jeremy home. Well two hours later Jeremy not home I walk down to their place, and low and behold they are in the back yard of the brat's house playing. I knock on the door, and she's like oh I was to send Jeremy home wasn't I? Um yup. So I don't even call anymore I just walk down there. You know want something done right, and all that crap. Like Saturday I invited the brat to Jeremy's Birthday Party, because I didn't want to look like the bitch. Okay who are we kidding I am a bitch, but I don't need to prove it to everyone else ;). This little brat doesn't show up until like 2pm. That's when the Birthday Party was over the other kids were leaving. Whatever Jeremy and the late arrival played for about an hour. I mean the nasty part of me is thinking yeah you guys were either to cheap or to lazy to get off your behinds to go buy a Birthday Present. Oh also had to talk to mil (mother in law) yesterday. I swear that woman is a complete idiot, once she says hello she has told you everything she knows. I got off the phone quickly blaming it on my cold which I do have. Ok enough complaining today....lol.

Got some work done on Needle Guardian by Teresa Wentzler stitched on 28 count fabbie from Silkweaver, and if Bill isn't home tonight then I'll work on it tonight too.

I saw on webshots they have a slide show option I'll have to look into that might be interesting to have a slide show of stuff I have actually finished on here.

Yes Sometimes You Need to be a Dad
Now first off let me say 90% of the time Bill is great. He'll unload the dishwasher, do the laundry, vacuum and has even been known to cook dinner once in a while. Generally speaking there's not much I can complain about. That doesn't stop me from complaining.....lol. You get the idea. Now yesterday I worked 9:45 am to 6:15 pm, and generally speaking Bill is off early on Friday. So I was thinking ok Jeremy is done school at 3:20 pm Bill should be home. Well Bill's first plan was to go out drinking with a buddy from school. Um excuse me no. Bill was on the verge of giving me attitude. I said hold it almost any time you want to go out with Brian I don't give you a hard time. I was just saying that sometimes you have a responsibility to be home after work to help me out. Oh I had to hold my anger back on that one....lol. Turned out that he ended up having to be at the office all day he has a job to go out on Sunday. So yeah stuff happens. Ok I arrange with my boss. Darn it I hate to admit that the cult is accommodating....grrrr....pick up Jeremy, and bring him back to the bank with me. Now Bill was to finish his work, and then grab Jeremy from the bank. Nope that didn't happen he ended up going out for drinks with people he works with. I'm like grrrrrr. I got lucky that a friend of Jeremy's Mom was in the bank, and asked if Jeremy could go with her. Give her son something to do....lol. I said yeah no problem. They live just down the street from us. See I know that part of the reason I was annoyed with Bill is I don't have people or a friend to go out with for drinks or even coffee in this town. Yeah I was feeling a little sorry for myself yesterday.

Looks like the UFO (unfinished object) RR (Round Robin) that I joined will start next Month. Still not sure what to send. Oh my goodness I got like 300 skeins of DMC in the mail yesterday. How excited was I? Walmart is shutting down it's craft sections is some stores in the US so I asked a fellow stitcher to get me one of every colour she could, and 300 skeins later. Bill was like wow when he saw how it filled up an entire shoe box. I didn't do any stitching yesterday, but hope to make up for it today.
